| Everyday the Maltese requires a brush turn.
This is to prevent detangling of the fur.
Also you have to take care of the eyes every day to prevent teardrops on the coat.
Ones a month the Maltese needs a bathing turn, but washing them more doesn't affect them, if you use the right shampoo of coarse |

Because the fur will need a lot of attention and requirements, most owners decide to shorten the hair of their Maltese dog. You have to watch it that the trim person the hair always cuts instead of shear!!!!!
The Maltese like one knows from several pictures and exhibitions, al have long hair, and this will take some more time from you then Maltese with short hair. But a neat, (short cutted) Maltese looks as good as a show Maltese with long hair.

 | Once or twice a week bathing.
I use for the normal bathing turns always PetSilk Moisturizing Shampoo. Afterwards to complete the cleaning I use the PetSilk Moistusizing Rinse.
When the dog towel dry is I rub true the whole fur some Liquid Silk and finally will dry the hair with a normal blower. During the blow dry I comb the hair from up to down to straighten the hair a little bit.

If the dog is dry I use Leave in Conditioner for the whole fur. You can use this between the bathing turns and keep the fur clean without washing it.
Afterwards I use a little Coat Oil and dilute it with some water.
For the daily brush turns I always use the Leave in conditioner.
Especially for the legs and under the armpit I use some extra liquid silk to prevent detangling and making the hair a little bit more flexible and to make it better to comb. |

 | I use for shows always Bright White Silk Shampoo.
White light silk brightener for the hair right under the eyes.
After that 1:1 the White Bright and Moisturizing Rinse.
Then a few drops of Liquid silk (I use for 10 drops 1 litre of water). |
I use this as slops.
Blow dry.
Leave in Conditioner because the hair will be easy to comb.
For the Top knot I use the PetSilk sticky gel and finalize it with some Hair control spray.
Finally I use some Ring mist to keep the hair in a volumes way. |  |

| After the Show |
You have to wash the hair because of all the gel and holds we used otherwise the hair will break.
Wash with Moisturizing shampoo.
Moisturizing rinse.
Towel dry again and put some Liquid silk true the fur.
Blow dry.
Wrap the hair with some Coat Oil. |

The Moisterizing Silk Shampoo you can dilute 1: 10
The Moisterizing Silk Rinse you also can dilute 1:10
Don't wash the Rinse totally out the fur |
 | When the dog is towel dry the fur firmly massage with LIQUID SILK. You can put the LIQUID SILK also in a small siphon, and dilute it with some water. You can use this in your daily brush turn and you will notice that the fur almost doesn't detangle and is easier to brush. Good luck Germie |
